Tom Sloan Cartoon: Humans Can’t Spell. Do Monkeys Spellcheck?

Written by Tom Sloan

Humans have opposable thumbs and spellcheck. Cartoonist Tom Sloan on spelling it right. — There was a time, not that long ago, when people knew how to spell. Me? I was always first in spelling bees. First one out, that is. I can’t spell two words in a row without looking one up. But everybody else seems to know how to spell. Now, thanks to silicon magic or spellcheck, even people like me can write and get almost every word right. The machines do the spelling for us so we don’t have to think too much at all.

Now that I don’t have to think about spelling anymore, I can spend my time thinking of better things, like … I wonder when The Three Stooges are on next?
