aNewDomain.net — Amazon today announced its new AutoRip service. If you’ve bought a CD via Amazon at any point since 1998, the company is offering to give you MP3s on its Amazon Cloud Player service in return.
Pretty crafty. You log on to your Amazon service and you see it’s got an offer to give you the digital versions of the CDs you’ve purchased.
The system doesn’t work with the Pepper Flash in later versions of Google Chrome. For best results, use Firefox. After I hit import, the service found 729 songs and let me play them from the cloud — here are some I purchased in 2002.
