Those ride sharing networks have driven down prices and increased competition so much that cabbies say they can’t make a living.
the sad thing, there is so little compassion out there about Schifter and his plight, much less that of countless people like him. When you are displaced by the whims of capitalism, American sympathy is hard to find.
