aNewDomain — Thanks largely to Google’s April 1 prank tradition of releasing intensely funny, almost believable and super high production YouTube videos for April Fool’s Day every year, now everyone’s doing it.
There were so many YouTube April Fool’s Day pranks this year that it was easy to miss some. Lucky for you, I’ve been watching them all day. As you’ll see below, I’ve rounded up the five best April Fool’s Day YouTube pranks, pranks it would be criminal to miss.
And as you’ll see below, the April Fool’s Day YouTube prank videos this year came from some pretty unexpected places.
And yes, the expected places were full of all the typical hilarity this year. Did you see YouTube’s headline April Fool’s Day prank? The service added a music icon to its videos, subjecting you to a sample of Darude’s “Sandstorm.” But, if you hated that song the first time around back in the 1990s, you’ll hate it more now. So I won’t include it here. But check out my fave April Fool’s Day YouTube prank picks below. Thank me later.
The Honda HRV Selfie Edition
First up, there’s Honda. The firm always says it prides itself on being ahead of the curve, and this video could make Honda the No. 1 choice for many Millennials. Seriously. Introducing the Honda HRV – Selfie Edition. Nice job, Honda. I like you more already.

Motorola Selfie Stick and One-day Sale
This isn’t your dad’s hardware company. On April 1, 2015, Motorola paid homage to the selfie stick. The April 1, 2015 “sale” on this unique accessory was for one day only, but you can keep savoring the Motorola video below — and dream of the selfies that could have been. Ah, vanity.

Katie Couric Punks New “Late Late Show” Host James Corden — But Good
The new Late Late Show host saw Katie Couric’s life flash before his eyes in a stair prank. I can’t say more or I’ll ruin it. This rocks hard.

The Telegraph’s Fake April Fool’s Day Prank Roundup
My favorite video? It is a compilation from the good chaps across the pond at The Telegraph. They assembled the most ridiculous footage they could find to create an unbelievably plausible report on the best April Fool’s Day pranks of 2015. Check it out here.
Appropriately, its embed code no longer works. Care to try it?
