aNewDomain.net — Need quick access to that firearm? The folks who make the GunBox told me you just might. “In a home-invasion scenario,” they said, “every second is precious and quick access to your firearm is essential.” You get the picture. Meet the GunBox.
Designed by engineer Ryan Hyde, the GunBox opens with the touch of a biometrically-stored fingerprint or a swipe of a microchip-equipped wristbrand or ring. It’s made, execs say, of aircraft-grade aluminum alloy. Reps claim the the GunBox is able to withstand up to 24,000 pounds-per-square-inch of pressure and temperatures over 1,000-degrees Fahrenheit. Check out the video below for more on the GunBox and why its investors think the product needs these kind of intense specifications.

The thin, clamshell case is easily hidden, reps told me.
And reps showed me how the GunBox also includes an integrated alert system. It sounds a loud alarm if anyone moves or even just tampers with the device. In addition to all this, the GunBox also comes standard, as you see in the video, with a neoprene interior lining. The idea is to keep your firearm safe, securely in place and unscratched. This thing mounts in any direction, upside down or in any other possible orientation. It’s yet another product we saw at the ShowStoppers press event at CES 2014.
