aNewDomain — I always hate getting the “Complete action using …” dialog box when I’m trying to open a file. You get that dialog box because absolutely ever app that’s able to open your file will show up there. It doesn’t tell you what app is best for opening the file, though.
Now there’s Android freeware that’ll solve the problem. Better Open With, developed by Giorgi Dalakishvili, replaces the Complete Action dialog box with a smart, customizable alternative that presents you with only one default app for opening a file. And you don’t have to choose the dumb option to use the app only once or always, either. And it lets you pre-select default apps for epening files. Handy. Better Open With is my choice for free Friday. It’s available for Android here on Google Play.
Interestingly, Better Off With started as a response to a Reddit post. Read that post here.
Will you like it? If you switch between browsers a lot and you have a definite choice for what apps you want to open what files, you will. Better Open With for Android is my choice for Freeware Friday. Have a great weekend!
