aNewDomain.net — Falls can be dangerous. People are injured in falls all the time. It’s terrible. Without decent stats I’d say the numbers of falls are in the many, many thousands. Yikes.
There are a number of famous falls in history. One of the great falls was that of Humpty Dumpty. Jack and Jill are also noted for succumbing to the perils of gravity. The Roman Empire had its legendary fall, too.
King Kong fell off the Empire State Building. He died. Being riddled with bullet holes did not help. Just last week I, myself, fell off a 22 foot ladder. Fortunately I didn’t get hurt — I was only on the first rung. No bullet holes to bring me down, either.
In October 2012, Felix Baumgartner fell 128,100 feet. On purpose, too. Fortunately for him, he didn’t get hurt. He had enough foresight to wear a parachute and a space suit for his world record plunge from a high altitude balloon.
In conclusion, do not be one of those who said they have fallen and can’t get up. Get up, or don’t fall. Simple.
