LAUNCH Festival 2013 is the place to be in the San Francisco Bay Area for VCs, angel investors, and start-ups. On Monday, March 4 registration started early. The Festival was sold out the weekend before the event.

Early-stage companies at LAUNCH participate in a pitch fest and existing start-ups show their wares in a demo area. Keynotes speakers were Chamath Palihapitiya, founder and managing partner of The Social+Capital Partnership, Evan Williams, co-founder of Twitter and Obvious. David Sacks Founder and CEO of Yammer speaks on Wednesday, March 6, 1:30 p.m.
This year is the first LAUNCH Hackathon with AngelHack for more than 500 developers and designers. Before the event, 218 teams signed up. More teams were created on site. The Hackathon started on Saturday March 2 and ended March 4. The five finalists will be on stage at 4:45 p.m. today competing for three grand prizes of $25,000 investment or $10,000 from Jason Calcanis, founder of LAUNCH, Dharmesh Shah, and Barracuda Ventures. Prizes are subject to change.
Massages and unlimited food are included.
