Mother’s Day 2015 signals the third biggest shopping event of the year. Here’s what retailers expect buyers to purchase and spend on their moms. Infographic.

aNewDomain — Mother’s Day 2015 is for celebrating your mom. It’s huge for her. And for the nation’s retailers, it’s major. Mother’s Day ranks as the third biggest consumer shopping bonanza of the year, right behind Christmas and the back-to-school shopping season.

According to the National Retail Federation’s Mother’s Day Spending Survey 2015, shoppers spent 19.9 billion dollars on Mother’s Day in 2014. This year the NRF expects spending to hit 21.2 billion.

Check out the infographic below. It shows what Mother’s Day gifts shoppers have purchased in the past, and what last minute gifts they are talking about getting this year. Still haven’t shopped for your mom? Get on the stick. She’s your mom.
