Solavei: Cheap 4G Service Launches, Too Good To Be True?

Written by Gina Smith

Solavei today launches its T-Mobile based 4G service — $49.99 is the cost for unlimited data and voice, with no contract. Reps say Solavei will pay customers who share service with others. Is it too good to be true? Developing.

Solavei launches its $49.99 a month 4G service Sept. 21, 2012, ET. Its stated mission: Bring customers into the inexpensive unlimited data and voice no contract service and get them to make it go viral by paying them to share the service with friends. It’s a multi-level marketing system — Solavei reps vigorously deny that its cash for calls system is a classic pyramid scheme.

Using T-Mobile 4G, the system will work with compatible, unlocked GSM mobile phones — or such smartphones as Solavei-purchased HTC One S, HTC Wildfire or ZTE Origin.

Solavei, which means “sun in your veins,” brings forth an interesting proposition. Make money with your mobile phone just by talking about it. Is it too good to be true? Would you sign up for a multi-level marketing system by any name? Let us know your comments as we dig in.

Here’s how Solavei says it works:
