According to the folks at the Maker Faire 2012, going on May 19 and May 20 here in the San Francisco Bay Area, this is “one of the most ambitious projects ever created for the Maker Faire.”
With the Viper, a team of young designers has created what basically is a full-function DIY flight simulator. According to Maker Faire reps:
They sketched their idea in Lego and brought it to life. All it took was a chopped up fuselage, software engineering, welded frames, a ton of servos, sound design, a Battlestar Galactica marathon and, of course, teamwork.
How. . .freakin’. . .COOL!
