Huawei vs. Motorola: Our Hands On Preview, Disarming Interview with Exec

>

In the interest of brevity, newsiness and just pure desire to rapidly show you Eric Mack and Todd Townsend’s hands-on video of Huawei’s newest and world’s thinnest phone, the P1-S, is Android ics based. So we’re going raw. This is raw video, no editing, terrific detail packed into a short amount of time. And what a disarming interview. Runs 2:23 minutes.

Check out Eric Mack and Todd Townsend’s excellent raw video of the Huawei P1 S announced this morning while you were sleeping, perhaps, recorded raw Monday Pacific.

Tonight at the Pepcom Media event in Vegas, Todd, Dave and Eric checked out the smartphones, AND they got more than they bargained for. Brutal and refreshing honesty from Huawei exec Eric interviewed.

Watch the end of the embedded clip above for that. Wow.

We’ve got specs for the new smartphones: at .06 inches thin, the Huawei Ascend P1 S is .04 inches thinner than the .1 inch profile of the new Motorola Droid RAZR with similar specs. The S1’s virtual twin, is equal to the .1 width of RAZR at narrowest point. It’s also similar in terms of memory, speed, overall hardware and cost to the RAZR. Eerily similar. Here they are.
