Email gets boring. So I play the classic version of Snake while I’m slogging through my mail. It’s a Gmail Labs feature that really breaks up the monotony during the day.
To enable the game, log into your Gmail account. Click the gear icon in the upper left corner and select Settings.
Next click on Labs.
Scroll down the list of Gmail Labs features and enable Old Snakey.
Scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes.
Go back into Gmail Settings and make sure to enable Keyboard Shortcuts.
Now when you’re looking through your mail, use the key combination [Shift][&] to bring up the game. Use the arrow keys to control the snake. Then have your snake eat the green squares. Each time you do, you get points and the snake gets bigger. Like my email box!
Don’t run into any red squares, though.
Here’s a short video showing the game in action. Sure, it’s “old school” – but sometimes those are the most fun games!
mines not working!!!!!
