Written by Madison Andrews

I’m Madison Andrews here in Austin, where SXSW Interactive 2013 is rocking. I’m rounding up the Day Two news here from March 9-10, 2013 at the tech portion of SXSW — SXSW Interactive. Google Shoe? Really? Really. Check it out.

anewdomain.net — It’s day two at SXSW Interactive 2013 here in Austin. If you’re planning to attend the festival this evening, wear a raincoat for sure. Weather conditions are cool and wet. It’s raining on and off, but who cares? There’s plenty to do at SXSWi 2013. Check out the infographic below the fold for that and other bizarre and cool things I’m commenting on. That’s up to and including — yes — Google’s talking shoe.

Is this an early release of Google’s annual April Fool’s prank? Or is there anything to the Google talking shoe? Check out the video below.

I started my day with Indigenous Tweets: Visible Voices & Technology — an intriguing panel discussion organized by Kara Andrade. The topic centered on indigenous languages and how to preserve them via open source translation tools designed for mass use.
