At CES 2014 and ShowStoppers, Todd Townsend checked out the all-digital, windshield mounted Escort Passport radar detector. It detects lasers, too. Video.

aNewDomain.net — At CES 2014, our Todd Townsend met up with execs from Escort, who announced shipment of what they claim is the first ever all-digital, high definition, windshield-mounted radar and laser detector. The Escort Passport radar detector nabbed a pair of CES Envisioneering awards at the show, too.

The Escort Passport radar detectors are limited edition models. Take a look.

These radar detectors are distinct in that they are all digital, execs said. This is a first for the business. Limited edition models of the Passport Max are immediately available. Escort has scored all kinds of awards for the Passport, including the pair of aforementioned CES Envisioneering awards it received this week, plus other honors from Popular Mechanics and Car and Driver.

The new limited edition models of the Escort Passport radar detector cost $600 at retail.

Also honored by CES judges for a CES 2014 Innovation and Design award was Escort’s new Laser ShifterPro laser defense tech. It’s built into the custom Passport 9500ci radar and laser defense system, execs said.
