CES 2013 Sony news from Monday, Jan 7, 2013 -- Sony will cease manufacturing of the Sony Playstation 2 *(finally!) and suprised with an online release of 86 rare Bob Dylan tracks via bobdylan.com -- but you only get them if you log in from France or England. One hundred copies of the collection -- aptly called Bob Dylan: The 50th Anniversary Collection: The Copyright Extension Collection Vol I -- are available for a pretty penny on eBay. Plus lots of pirated copies. Why the release? Europe's new use it or lose it copyright law, which comes into effect 2014. Expect a lot more Bob Dylan this year. Happy New Year, Bob. Details inside.

Out of respect for the Jobs family, we're not going to barrage you with Steve Jobs tribute material today, the first anniversary of the late Apple co-founder and CEO's death. Rather, we're posting his favorite song. He was a Buddhist but music was his religion, as the other Apple co-founder and my co-author Steve Wozniak once told me. So enjoy. Life is for the living.
