Even if you knew nothing about the MMORPG World of Warcraft, you will enjoy the trailer.

aNewDomain — Blizzard Entertainment’s BlizzCon 2015 wrapped up the first weekend in November, and as expected there was plenty of exciting news.

First and foremost, we got additional information about the next expansion for World of Warcraft: Legion. During panel discussions at the conference, we heard about some changes in game mechanics, we saw glimpses of the new continent Broken Isles, and we were tantalized by new high resolution character models.

But the news everyone is talking about is the World of Warcraft: Legion cinematic trailer. It is Blizzard’s most sophisticated trailer yet. Even if you knew nothing about the MMORPG World of Warcraft, you will enjoy the trailer.

Warcraft: The Movie

The other big news for World of Warcraft fans was the release of the trailer for the movie Warcraft. The full plot line is still under wraps, but, generally, Warcraft will tell the story of Anduin Lothar and Durotan. As far as I can tell, the story takes place in a time before World of Warcraft the MMO. If you played the RTS Warcraft III many years ago, you may have a head start on the story.

A Warcraft movie has been talked about for years, but was delayed by changes in directors, producers, etc. But if the trailer is any indication at all, the delays may end up being worth it. The scheduled release date is June 10, 2016.

Hard Core

For those hard core World of Warcraft players out there, the panel discussion on Legion and the continent of Broken Isles may interest you. The panel shows us what the continent looks like and what inspired the artists.

The panel also talks about the dungeons and raids that players will find in the Broken Isles. Personally, I am looking forward to the expansion, even if I have to wait until September 2016!
