aNewDomain.net — We’re betting you’ve seen the Double, the Double Robotics rolling robot as lampooned on The Colbert Report. Or maybe you caught the Double on that Big Bang Theory episode, the one that featured Apple co-founder and inventor Steve Wozniak. Here’s our Alfred Poor with more …
The Double Robotics Double was everywhere at CES 2014. The Double, as shown at ShowStoppers, is essentially a rolling stand that carries an Apple iPad about 47 to 60 inches high. You’re able to remotely control it from any other Apple iPad anywhere.
If you’ve got $2,500 to spare for the Double — you’ll also need to shell out for the iPad — this is a way to show up without ever showing up. Talk about telepresence. The Double will roll around, turn and face people or things — heck, let it attend that next meeting for you. Our Alfred Poor took a look at the Double. Scroll below the video to see the Double as featured with Steve Wozniak on Big Bang Theory.
Here’s the Double as portrayed on the Big Bang Theory television show, in an episode where Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak is a special guest. Too funny.
