It’s called Lift — the new app from Twitter founders Ev Williams and Biz Stone. It is available in the App Store today as a final release. Bad habits? Good habits? Kick them or enhance them. It’s a cool app. And it’s free, the best kind. Available for Apple iOS 5 or higher.

They’ve been talking about it forever — and a lot of folks I know have been using it awhile. Today, the Lift app from Twitter founders Ev Williams and Biz Stone’s Lift Worldwide quietly became available in the Apple App Store.  And the best thing about it — it’s free.

Lift will work on the following Apple mobile devices: Apple iPhone 3GS, Apple iPhone 4, Apple iPhone 4S, Apple iPod touch (3rd generation), Apple iPod touch (4th generation) and the Apple iPad. Lift requires iOS 5.0 or later.

According to the description the developers provide on iTunes, Lift is designed to do the following:

Pursue an unlimited number of habits for free
Easily checkin to your habits with just one tap per day
View weekly and monthly reports about your progress
Include some notes to form a journal around your habits
Support others who are pursuing the same habits by giving them props
Connect your Twitter account to follow your friends’ habits
Check out the most popular habits and join any that interest you
