Jon Stewart to Host Presidential Debate Campaign – a New Meme emerging

Forget Kony 2012, the Internet is about to launch another campaign that doesn’t have much hope of making a difference, but if it did it would sure be awesome.

In recent hours, a campaign to get Daily Show host Jon Stewart to host a presidential debate has been gaining steam. And yes, there is a Change.org petition to go with it. Of course, the odds of such a thing happening are slim, given Stewart’s affinity for picking on both candidates, particularly Romney.

To get all three men on a stage together would likely require some assurances to the Republican candidate. Perhaps some of Stewart’s loyal fans ought to pledge their votes to Romney if he would agree to the appearance. That could be a tall order given the Daily Show host’s left-wing leanings, but life is about the journey, folks, not just the destination.

This would be the most serious, meaningful, relevant, cogent, thoughtful and thought provoking debate in HISTORY. How ironic that it would be hosted by Comedy Central. Where do I donate to make it happen?

Having Jon Stewart moderate a presidential debate is like having Ronald MacDonald be the referee in the next WWE title match.
